Greetings everyone; Namaste:
We are continuing with Chapter three, paragraphs eight and nine in the letter to the Omans in the book, "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
God is the God of all, not just Christians, or Muslims, or Hindus, or whatever religion people follow. How could it be otherwise since there is only one God? God accepts and loves everyone no matter what religious system they follow.
But does that mean that any path to God is as good as any other? Not necessarily. Some paths are faster than others. Some have more detailed roadmaps. Some take the airplane routes. Some take the ox-cart method. Some seem to actually go in the opposite direction. Some people may want to go to San Diego, California, but they may zig-zag all over the place before they finally get there. Others may take a direct flight in. We all go at our own pace, but naturally we want to travel with others, and we try to convince others to go along with us.
Commentary: Some people know where they are going and take a direct route. Other people may have an idea of where they want to go, but don't know how to get there. And some people have no particular destination in mind. God has sent some people to talk about the destination and how to get there, but there are a lot of false travel agents and guides who will take you off course. And there are many fellow travelers who think they know the way and want to show you. Take your pick. It's up to you to decide. Who has the best map and instructions according to your personal profile?

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul
Hello Everyone; Namaste:
We are continuing with Chapter 3, paragraph 7 in the letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
"As for any group claiming to be special or "chosen," well, that is just plain false. We choose to be chosen. What we've learned is this: God does not respond to any one particular point of view. Our vision of life is too small to define God. No religion has the complete truth about God. We finally realized that we ought to be humble about our beliefs and to admit that we don't have all the answers. Your truth might be good for you, but not necessarily satisfy someone else. My way is not a better way, it just another way that I happen to like."
Commentary: If we are all equal in the sight of God, how can anyone or any group claim to be special or chosen? It is our own actions that make the difference. If we work to spread the good news of the oneness of all life, or if we do a lot of charitable work, or if we carry out special missions in life, we may seem to be "chosen." If we have special abilities and talents, we may seem to be favored by God, but God loves everyone unconditionally. People who think they are "chosen" above others by God, and thus are better than others will no doubt be served some humble pie sooner or later. Anyone who thinks he or she is superior to others because of his or her religious beliefs, will also be served humble pie, served up by life itself, by the laws of God which keep everything in balance.
News Note: The US presidential primaries are happening now. Which candidate do you think is closest to understanding the Oneness of all life? Ron Paul? Mike Huckabee? Barack Obama? Hilary Clinton? Dennis Kucinich?

gospel of one; letters of aul
Hello Everyone; Namaste:
We are continuing with chapter 3, paragraph 6 in the letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
"God is always communicating with us in one way or another. He has shown us the best way to live many times over, but we haven't been good listeners, and even when we have been good listeners, we haven't been good doers. God has communicated with everyone who has ever lived on earth. No one person or religion, or ethnic group, or country has a corner on God. God has chosen everyone, everything. Indeed, God is everyone, everything."
Commentary: God communicates in the still, small voice within us, the voice of our conscience that tells us if we are doing right or wrong or somewhere in between. The voice of God comes from within us. But if we don't listen to that voice, or if we can't discern it clearly, then God speaks to us through our experiences and our emotions. God can speak to us through other people. God speaks to us through life as it plays itself out. God is speaking to us directly and indirectly all the time. God is talking about being our highest and best self, always transcending ourself and moving with the river of life.
In this Christmas season the universal spirit of Christ speaks to us about peace on earth and goodwill to all people. Can we keep the love of Christ foremost all year long? If we all remember that we are all identities in God and that what we do to others we actually do to ourselves, then I believe it will be easier to keep up that love.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul
Hello Everyone, Namaste:
We are continuing with Chapter three, paragraph five in the letter to the Omans in Gospel of One; Letters of Aul:
"God has sent us many messengers throughout history who have told us about the oneness of life. People have raised themselves up by the grace of God into enlightenment. They have tried to tell us the wonderful truth about life, about God. We have treated some of these messengers very roughly, such as Jesus Christ. But we have listened to them eventually and much good has come out of it. Nevermind if many have misunderstood, or have not lived up to the teachings. The bright lights of Krishna, Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Guru Nanak, Lao Tzu, and Confucius, to name a few, have guided and inspired many people to live in beneficial ways."
Commentary: The great religious teachers of the past are not fighting it out in heaven to see whose religion will prevail. All of these teachers were human beings who raised themselves up to understand many great truths about God and Life. They taught their lessons to a people and a culture of specific times and locations. Most of their teachings are eternal truths, but not everyone has been receptive to them, then or now. Yet the light from these great teachers still illuminates the path for billions of people. Most of these great teachers have reached the ascended state and work together to help all life on earth.
Ponder the ways that you are one with all life, if you think that you are separate, try to think if that is even possible. We are made of them same stuff that stars are made of.

gospel of one; letters of aul
Hello Everyone; Namaste;
We are continuing with chapter 3, paragraph 4 in the letter to the Omans from the book, "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
"So where do we really stand? Do we who believe in the oneness of all life get a better break than others? Not really. Basically, all of us, whether we know the truth or not, are all equal parts of God. Not one of us is any better or worse than any other one, because we are all one. We are not identical. We are not the same, but we are all part of God. As human beings we have played different roles. We have been good guys and bad guys, but those have just been roles. Our true identities are hidden in God. We admit our complicity in everyone else's sins, but we also must admit our complicity in everyone else's glorious accomplishments."
Commentary: When an actor stops acting, he returns to his real personality. The police don't come and arrest him for playing a crook in the movie or play. Our problem on earth is that most of us don't know we are acting. We are caught up in the drama and take it very seriously. We are writing our own scripts as we live each day. If we could realize our oneness with all life, I think we could write better scripts for ourselves and help each other edit our scripts.
A quote on oneness: "The sense of Oneness is beginning to bloom amongst you, and with it comes the caring for others." -- St Germain through Mike Quinsey

gospel of one; letters of aul
Hello Everyone; Namaste:
We are continuing with chapter 3, paragraph 3 in the letters to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
"Some people are still accusing us of taking advantage of God's love and the fact that God is the only reality. They claim we go around saying, "We can do anything we want to because God is the only doer, so let's just do it, whatever "it" is." That's just plain nonsense, don't you think so? We are far more responsible and sensitive than that."
Commentary: To be in the oneness of God is to take full responsibility for our lives. We have the freedom to do whatever we want to, but every action has a consequence. We are God's representatives, so we don't just do "whatever" as if it didn't really matter what we do. We co-create our own lives.
Another quote on Oneness: The blossoms of life in the garden of earthly existence are enchanting to behold. But somewhere there is a fount of Beauty and Intelligence, even more enthralling, from which we have come and into which we shall merge again. --Paramahansa Yogananda

gospel of one; letters of aul
Hello Everyone; namaste:
We are continuing with Chapter 3, paragraph 2 in the letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
"You may ask this question: Since God loves us whether we are good or bad, what difference does it make for our salvation? The answer is: No difference! But God has made a cause and effect universe. We are blessed by loving actions. The bliss of God is more easily experienced in a loving heart. Yet not everyone will listen to words of wisdom. Experience will teach us what works and what doesn't. God will eventually straighten us all out."
Commentary: God's love is steadfast no matter what we do. We might have been mean and ignorant for lifetime after lifetime, but then we may finally wake up to the presence of God and to the possibilities of divine love. Are we condenmed because of our past lifetimes spent living in ignorance? Or, condense that scenario to one lifetime. God's love has been steady all the way, and she has the patience to wait for you to realize your oneness with divine love.
I must add a note of caution here. Some spiritual teachers whom I respect, say that a recalcitrant soul who rebels against divine love for eons, may be canceled out via the "second death." The purified energy is then returned to the oneness of God. So a soul doesn't really have forever to enter in to divine love consciousness. I don't really know, what is your opinion?
I'm adding a new feature to this blog: A quote about the oneness of life. I have about 20 pages of quotes on oneness in my book, but I could have put in a lot more quotes. Please feel free to add your quotes on oneness. I would like to collect a whole bunch of them.
"In the All is One ultimate reality, you are not just a part of Infinite Being, you are a viewpoint of the One. Nothing can be truly separate from the One. It can only be another facet or viewpoint of the One. --Owen Waters
