Hi Everyone, namaste;
We are now starting on paragraph one of chapter 11 in the First Letter to the Orinthians from the book, "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
"I'm glad that most of you continue to grow in the faith, but there are still some questions about marriage relationships. This is understandable since marriage is our primary human relationship. The problem lies in the question of authority. Since men are usually bigger, stronger, and more aggressive, you think man is the natural authority. But women may be more intuitive, thoughtful, and discerning. But why does one have to be the leader? Marriage is a partnership. Let's throw out the old idea that one gender is superior to another. Men and women are different aspects of God. Long live the difference! We learn from each other, that's for sure. And in past lives we have all experienced life as men and women. Let's put this issue of superiority behind us. No one is superior or inferior--just different. In some cases there are clear leaders and ones who take final responsibility, but that doesn't indicate soul superiority. We don't know the soul's purpose in the lives of others. A person may incarnate as a weak-willed individual for one life time, and then come back strong in the next life time."
Commentary: A balanced religion and a balanced society would recognize the basic soul equality of men and women.
