Hi Everyone, Namaste:
We are continuing with the letter to the Omans, chapter two, paragraph seven in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
"If we are brought up as a Christian, or Muslim, or Buddhist, or Jew, we can't assume that we are going straight to heaven, or that we are among the elite, the favorites of God. Let me address those who think that because they know their scriptures backwards and forwards it qualifies them to lead others through the maze of life. It takes a lot more than knowing the scriptures. It takes practical life experience and a real heart of love. We all know people who preach against thievery, adultery, gossip and so on, and are even quite eloquent about it. Yet they commit the very sins they warn others about. It's an old problem that doesn't go away easily because people think they can conceal their secret sins. God knows it all and so we will too, eventually."
Commentary: Many people who outwardly follow their religion are quite certain that their God will accept them into heaven. And since they are certain of heaven, they think they can guide others or should convert others to their religious path. There are many blind leaders of the blind. Only a true spiritual master, one who has risen above sectarian religious beliefs, who has purified his own life, and has a deep understanding about life, love, and God, is qualified to guide others to a heavenly realm. All other pretenders of religious authority will have their shortcomings exposed, and if they become wise and humble, they will take lessons from a true spiritual master.

Hello Everyone, namaste:
We are continuing with The Gospel of One; Letters of Aul, letter to the Omans, Chapter two, paragraphs five and six: "Some people don't follow any form of organized religion, yet they know how to behave with kindness and love toward others. They show that love is built into the fabric of creation. There is something deep within all of us that echoes God's love. We will all know this some day.
The gospel that I proclaim takes into account all the differences of people, all the varieties of life. We are all part of God. We are all one with each other in the Oneness of God."
Commentary: If we didn't have organized religion, we would still have love. The universe is made of love. We are made of love, the pure love of the Creator. Religion can divide people, but true love brings them together.

Hello Everyone; namaste:
We are continuing with chapter two, paragraph four in the letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."
"Sometimes we may hurt others without realizing it. Other times we may deliberately hurt others. God knows the difference. He doesn't punish us, but he has set up the laws of cause and effect. Our actions have consequences. Everything we say and do comes back to us in like measure. In this way the justice of God is perfect."
Commentary: Some people question the justice of God because some people seem to get away after hurting someone or something. Not so, the event is registered in the person's soul. It will have to be balanced sooner or later. God is not interested in punishment, but he is interested in justice and balance. It is in God's Self-interest to keep everything in balance, so as individual parts of God, we balance ourselves out. This is where our conscience comes from. We hear the voice of God telling us something about our actions. If we shut out this voice, it will still come through in other ways, such as through your spouse, or your child, or a friend, or the police, or through some action from the world.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul
Hello Everyone;
We are continuing with chapter two, paragraph three in the Letter of Aul to the Omans: "If we follow in the love and kindness of God, there are wonderful results. It doesn't matter what religion we follow, if any. Being a Buddhist, or Hindu, or Muslim, or Christian. or whatever, won't pull any special weight with God. God doesn't care so much about that. He looks at the heart. He looks beyond what others see and say about you and even beyond what you say about yourself. God knows the full truth of your being."
Commentary: You know that there are good and loving people in every religion. God does not favor one religion over another. He looks at the individual heart of everyone. The different religions appeal to different cultures and circumstances. It is folly to claim that there is only one true religion, yet many people are still doing that today, especially Christians and Muslims. I'd say relax and let go of any thoughts of superiority. God really does love everyone equally. How can that be? Because we are all part of God, part of the life everlasting.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul
Hello everyone;
We are continuing with chapter two, paragraph two of Aul's letter to the Omans: "It is better to work on improving your own self than to point out the wrong doing of others. God is not fooled by anyone's posturings and self-righteous behavior. Yet God is not interested in punishing you or anyone else. God loves us and wants the best for us. If we have faults, let's admit them and work on them. We don't need to pretend we are perfect. God will lead us on to better behavior as we rejoice in his love and kindness."
Commentary: God is not fooled by any outward show or any evasive action we may take; so we might as well be honest with ourselves and admit our shortcomings. But that doesn't mean we should condemn ourselves. We are all learning how to behave, and Love is leading the way. Correct your self in a gentle way. Be kind to yourself and to others. That is the way of diversity in oneness.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul
Hello Everyone, namaste:
We are continuing with the Letter to the Omans in the Letters of Aul. We are starting chapter two, first paragraph: "When we look back in history we can see many mistakes and horrible examples of ignorance. Yet even today it continues with people fighting and killing one another. But we need to be careful about condemning others. It is easy to point the finger at others while ignoring our own faults. How do we know how we would act in critical situations? We might lose our cool under difficult conditions. And who knows what awful things we may have done in past incarnations."
Commentary: I'm writing this a week after the mass shooting at Virginia Tech that has horrified the nation. And the Iraqi war is still going on. Some people think they can't do anything to stop the violence, but there is a way to do it without condemning others and this paragraph begins to show how. Examine ourselves and get rid of any violent tendencies. Learn how to be peaceful and calm and loving in any circumstance. One peaceful person multiplied by many other peaceful people will have widespread influence. Day by day we can deepen our love for all life.

gospel of one; letters of aul
Greetings; Namaste:
We are continuing with our reading and discussion of Aul's letter to the Omans. We are on paragraphs seven and eight of chapter one.
"Yes, humans have descended into the depths of depravity, and God let them! Yes, the God of Life has given us free will to make our own decisions, and alas, how far off course have we strayed at times. We don't even want to think about many of the abominable things that humans have done. At times we have lost all sense of compassion and love."
"The strange thing is, people have sometimes done awful things in the name of a loving God. They thought God was encouraging them to kill the infidels. Other people had no sense of God at all. They just did what they wanted to do for their own pleasure or benefit. It's not that we really didn't know better. In our heart of hearts, in our higher selves, we knew the truth, but we ignored it."
Sometimes people ask why doesn't God put a stop to the cruelty on earth. Why does a loving God allow such bad things to happen? Actually, he is stopping it through his perfect laws of cosmic justice. Eventually people will learn what they do to others, they actually do unto themselves. God, acting through angels and humans, has stopped many bad things from happening, but not all bad things have been prevented because events have consequences. We are working things out. The drama of creation lasts billions or trillions of years. The bad things may be a very insignificant part of the whole picture. The physical universe may be a small part of the whole creation. The higher vibration spheres of existence may be where most life is happening.
Okay, we are dealing with the here and now, so what do we do? In our heart of hearts, in our higher selves, we know what to do, we know who to be. It's time to be quiet and listen to our true Self.
