We are now on paragraph 6 of chapter 5 in the Second Letter to the Orinthians from the book Gospel of One; Letters of Aul.

We have taken on the work of telling this good news to everyone. We are God's representatives.  We persuade people to drop their outer differences and enter into God's work of making life a paradise for everyone.  We urge people to become friends of God, friends of life.  God is already your best friend. How? You ask. God serves you in every way, yet gives you the freedom to make your own decisions.  God is with you every step of the way, a constant companion, he is never overbearing or pushy.  He knows when to step forward with active help and when to stay in the background, when to act as a father, mother , sister, brother, best pal, son or

daughter, baby or grandparent.  God can be your lawyer, doctor, chauffeur, gardener, nurse, housemaid, or whatever.  You get the idea.

Commentary:  Bhagavan Krishna is a good example of God playing different roles for people.  He was a friend and charioteer for Arjuna.  He was a baby for mother Yasoda.  He was a brother to Balarama.  He was a playmate for his cowherd friends. And he was a divine philosopher for all of us in the Bhagavad Gita. And in our everyday lives you can see or sense the hand of God if not his whole personality.

We are now on the 4th paragraph of chapter 5 in the Second Letter to the Orinthians from the book Gospel of One; Letters of Aul (page 111).

We choose to work from a focused center of God's unconditional love.  God is the life of everything.  That puts us all in the same boat, so to speak.  Everyone, everything, everywhere is part of God.  Nothing exists outside of God.

Commentary:  Well, this says it all.

We are now moving on to the Second Letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul." We start with paragraphs 1 and 2:

"I, Aul, have chosen this special mission, backed by my I am presence and holy Christ Self.  I write to God's congregation in Orinth and to believers everywhere.  May all gifts and benefits of God, the angels, and ascended host be yours.  Imothy, your good friend and mine, joins me in this greeting.

All praise to God, our prime creator, our Father and Mother, our very Self.  She is right with us, through the good times and the bad,  And we can reinforce that God presence by helping other people who may be going through hard times.  We've had our share of hard times, but we've had plenty of good times also. God is always with us no matter what comes."

Commentary:  These first two paragraphs set the tone for this letter.  We are part of God and always will be. The more we realize this the more benefits we will have. God can be related to as a Father or Mother or even as an impersonal Being.  And when we set the purposes of our lives, we can receive guidance from God, Christ, his angels and the Ascended Hosts of heaven.

We are now on paragraphs 5 and 6 of chapter 14 in the First Letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"I'm grateful to God that we can each go within and contact God and have wonderful experiences.  Then when we assemble together in common praise and worship services, we can share our joys with one another.

And then when people who don't remember their oneness with God come amongst us, we can tell them in plain language.  We need to watch out for assuming they understand our jargon and short cut ways of explaining things.  Let's always be considerate and courteous to all people who may not agree with us."

Commentary: Something that may be very obvious to us may still be hidden or doubtful to others. The oneness of life is very plain to us, but the illusion of separation is what most people are still lost in, so the truth of oneness needs to be demonstrated and explained every day.

Hi everyone; namaste:

We are now moving on to chapter 14, paragraphs one and two, in the First Letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"Love abundantly. It will come back to you.  Develop your talents in God.  Proclaim the truth of God.  If you praise God in silence or in tongues, that is fine for yourself, but when you proclaim the truth in everyday speech, you will be reminding others of the truth so they can develop their own strong faith.

Consider this my friends. If I withdraw from the world and keep my knowledge to myself, what will you get out of it? If I don't share my insights, or truths, or teachings, what help am I to you? If I play music so that each note isn't distinct and in tune, how will anyone recognize the song and enjoy the music?  If the date and time aren't clearly printed, will anyone come to the show?"

Commentary:  We are talking about honest, heart-felt  communication.  This isn't about persuading people to any point of view, nor is it about being superior in knowledge. It's about helping one another grow in realization of what the truth might be. Nobody has a corner on knowledge so it isn't about defending any particular viewpoint.  It is a mutual search for truth minus the ego involvement of having to be right.

We are now on paragraph 2 of chapter 7 in the First Letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"Next question: What about sex before marriage? Since different cultures have different morals and customs about this, I won't make any blanket statement, although I just indicated it is not a good idea.  The sex drive is very strong, and young people especially want to know what it is like.  However I favor abstinence until marriage.  Young people need to be educated about the oneness of all life and to have respect toward the opposite sex.  They need to be educated about the blissful reunion with God the beautiful, all pleasing, all satisfying one.  Then they won't get lost in human sexuality, which of course ends when their bodies die.  But the love of God is forever and the joy of God is forever, ever new."

Commentary: We may think that it is useless to try to hold back natural impulses, but that is not true.  There are many testimonies of couples who have taken the sacred approach to sex and have kept themselves chaste for their marriage partner. There are many people who put God first and their spouse second in priority.  There are many people who keep sex in perspective and see it as just one part of their lives. The bliss of God goes way beyond the physical act of sex. The bliss of God goes way beyond bodily pleasures.

We are now on paragraph 4, chapter 2 in the first letter to the Orinthians in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."  (page 71)

"The worldly experts of our day don't seem to understand the love and freedom God has given us.  And they don't understand that we are all one.  If they understood, they wouldn't be putting others down or mistreating others, because there is no "other."  There is only "us."  But you know and celebrate the oneness of life because you have come to realize it."

Commentary: There is a simple test to see if our so-called leaders and experts really understand life. Any leader who calls for war or vengeance on others or seeks to gain any advantage for himself to the detriment of others, doesn't understand that life is like a mirror. We are all one in God, any leader who doesn't know that, isn't fit to lead--in any area of life--politics, society, religion, business.

We are now on paragraph 11 in the first chapter of the first letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul." (p68)

"Where do we look then, to find someone who is truly enlightened, truly wise, and truly knowledgeable about God and life? The folly of those who live in notions of separateness has been exposed again and again. Yet people still fall for the shallow philosophies based on separation from God. So where do we look? Let us look within and become role models."

Commentary: If we are always looking for somebody else to be the role model, then we will only postpone our own spiritual work. We do have role models for living the life of oneness, but we can't set them up as idols, which most religions have done with their founders and greatest saints and sages. Eventually we will have to stand on our own authority as conscious souls within the beingness of God.

We are now on paragraph 10 in the first chapter of the first letter to the Orinthians in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul." (P 68)

"The gospel of oneness seems unrealistic to those who are lost in the thoughts of separateness and mired in the illusions of life, but for those people on the path of Self-Realization, it makes perfect sense. This is the way God works, and it is the way of sublime wisdom. The so-called experts of worldly wisdom who base their philosophy on the separation of life will be left as "cracked pots."

Commentary: It seems that most people are currently caught up in the dualistic struggles of life. Entire philosophies have been made up to deal with the dualistic vision of life. For example, the Chinese classic "The Art of War" is based on the notion that you can actually win a war by coming out on top in a dualistic struggle for supremacy. To have real victory everyone must work for a win-win outcome. Those people who stick to a dualistic view and try to come out on top will indeed be seen as "cracked pots" that cannot hold the water of oneness.

We are now on paragraph 9 in the first chapter of the first letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"My I Am Presence didn't send me out to make a name for myself and gather personal followers, but to preach the message of the oneness of life and to inspire people to treat all life as part of the oneness. And he didn't send me out to do it with a dazzling light show of my own, lest the powerful action at the center--your own Christ Self--be ignored in the outer display of wonders."

Commentary: Any attempt to make the preacher or teacher the focus of the message only leads to ego problems or idolatry. The message is that each and every one of us is at the center of God's creation, so let us all stand firm in the love and favor of our Creator God. God is us. We are all unique parts of the whole, and there is no division in the whole. It is amazing isn't it?

We are now on paragraph 8 in the first chapter of the Letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul." (page 68)

"I ask you, does anyone have the whole truth? Has God written a book wherein all the eternal truths are revealed? Did Jesus appear to everyone on earth? Did Krishna come to the American Indians? Did Buddha walk the Roman roads? Did Mohammed live in an igloo with the inuits? Different teachers and masters have come according to specific needs, in specific areas, with specific people. Though they may have taught many universal truths, they still ministered according to what the people they were among needed and were ready for."

Commentary: No book, no teacher has given us the complete and final truth about life, but various teachers have given us many valid insights into the process of life. However, to say that one particular teacher has given the highest and best teaching would only be a personal opinion. Other people might have a different opinion, and to fight about it and feel personal animosity toward someone of a different opinion would only reveal a lack of assimilating the teachings of one of God's messengers.

We are starting chapter 12 in the Letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"So here is my advice for you. Keep your regular routine of a balanced life, eating, sleeping, working, playing, and keep up with all your relationships, but place it all in the context of your oneness with life. See God everywhere. Respect God in all the variations of life. Honor yourself and honor others. At the same time be aware of peer pressure that drags you down. Keep your inner awareness of God. Quickly recognize and respond to the presence of God in every situation. The culture of TV, movies, shopping malls, sports, worldly music, and materialistic science will drag you down to its level if you let it. Tune into your God-Self, and you will rise above the mundane."

Commentary: Balance is very important in the spiritual life. If you are out in the material world a lot, it can be difficult to stay balanced. I salute those of you who are able to stay in tune with your inner God-presence during busy or stressful times. If you regularly meditate on the presence of God, it becomes easier to keep in tune all day long. You see the face of God everywhere.

We are starting on Chapter 9, paragraph 1 of the Letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"Even though I am a very happy person usually, I want you to know that I carry a certain sadness. It is a sadness deep within me that I haven't been able to let go of, even with the help of the joyous angels. I'll tell you what it is--it is the Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, and Hindus, and other religionists who think they have all the answers, and that their way to heaven is the best for everyone else. If there was any way I could help them all see the truth immediately, I would do it. If they could just see, even for a minute, that God is Life. That God is love, and that kindness, joy and respect for all life are the foundation for living a good and harmonious life here on earth, then a large percentage of our problems would be solved already."

Commentary: Even though all the religions seem to want basically the same thing, they quarrel over which way is the best to attain it. They quarrel over doctrines and points of religious laws. Even within the major religions there are different sects, denominations, schools of thought that vie for supremacy of their way. God loves everyone no matter what they believe or don't believe, and since we are part of God, we can also express that unconditional love.

We are continuing with chapter 8, paragraph 9 in the letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."*

"God does have a master plan. He knew love would shape our lives. There was no need to force us into obedience. She didn't make us into puppets. She set us free in love and gave us the power to co-create our lives and our universe. And then, after setting us free to do whatever we willed to do, she stayed with us to experience everything we experience, to create everything we have created and to become more magnificent through us. So what do you think, with God on our inside like this, how can we lose?"

Commentary: This is in response to people who say God created everything, then stepped back to let us fight it out for evolutionary supremacy. God is right here with us in the middle of this cosmic drama because God is all there is. We are expressions of God. If you see yourself as separate from God, then you might have an ego problem. If you see yourself as an expression of God, then the ego is off its throne and your true individuality starts shining through.

We are continuing with chapter 8, paragraph 8 in the Letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"Although we are waiting for the golden age for the masses, we don't have to wait for ourselves. The angels of God are right here along side of us, helping us in every possible way. All we have to do is ask for their assistance. Even if we don't exactly know what kind of help to request, our higher selves do. Even if we just moan and groan for help, the angels will come to us with some kind of action, sometimes a very physical action. God knows every detail about our lives, and if we have the intention and desire to come into a golden age, it will manifest."

Commentary: The golden age manifestation is up to us. When enough people raise their consciousness high enough, a golden age will manifest. Meanwhile, we can make our own lives a model for the golden age. Even if we don't think we can do it, the angels of God will help us if we help ourselves. They will help us get over the rough places. God wants the best for all of us.

We are continuing with chapter 8, paragraph 3 in the Letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"When we focus on God we enter the bright and happy free life. But if we focus on our ego, we end up thinking more about ourselves than God, and then our lives become more cramped and circumscribed by various limitations. Remember, God is joyous life for everyone, love for everyone, abundance for everyone, respect for everyone."

Commentary: This is a clear choice between being ego-centered or God centered. To be God-centered is to know everyone else, everything else as part of your greater Self, and thus to act in the Self-interest of the whole.

"God has come into the illusion through us. God knows what it is like to be here and to go through everything that we go through: The good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly--everything. So our key for getting out of this illusion is to remember our God selves. Those people who think they can figure it all out with the human ego run into one obstacle after another. Those people who trust God's action in them find that God really is in them--the living and breathing God.

Commentary: The living and breathing God is right here on earth. God knows everything about life on earth. He knows it through the incredible diversity of life. The realization of this goes way beyond what the ego can understand through linear thinking.

We are continuing with Chapter 7, paragraph 5 in the letter to the Omans from the book Gospel of One; Letters of Aul.

"Another question is one that I often ask of myself. "I want to do the right thing, I want to love everyone, but I can't seem to do it consistently. I fall way short sometimes, Why?" Oh my friends, I know how it is. We know the laws, but can't keep them. The powerful illusions sabotage our best intentions. We obviously need help. We can use our will-power, but it doesn't hold up under the strain. We can decide to do good, but we don't follow through. We can decide not to do something wrong, then we do it anyway. The illusion is so tricky sometimes. We think we need something that will only hurt us in the long run, such as the need to smoke a cigarette or something worse. The illusion gets the better of us so many times."

Commentary: This is the old story, very familiar to most people, especially to those of us who make new years resolutions. Old habits are hard to break If you can rise above the illusions though, you will have a better chance of succeeding in your resolutions.

We are continuing with chapter 7, paragraph 4 in the letter to the Omans from the book Gospel of One; Letters of Aul.

"You might be asking, "Is the illusion all bad?" The answer is , "No." God created the physical universe, which is a reflection of the truth. The illusion is our field to play in. It is our stage for the drama of creation. Through us and every created thing God experiences life. Life cannot be experienced in unbroken oneness. The duality of life gives full scope to the infinite experiences of life. However, we do not need to be lost in this illusion. We can be in the world but not of it. We can play our roles in life in peace and harmony. It is the people who do not realize it is only a game who take life too seriously. There is no need to harm other people or creatures to live in this illusion of creation. We are here to manifest the love of God, the joy of God, and beauty of God."

Commentary: When we realize that we can look at this world as a stage, and that we are the actors creating our own roles, then we can see that we can change things. We can see that we have the power and ability to manifest the love of God. The illusions of life are only the props that give a backdrop to the story of infinite love.

We are continuing with chapter 7, paragraphs 2 and 3 in the letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One, Letters of Aul."

"Most laws have perfectly legitimate functions. Without clear guidelines for right and wrong, moral behavior would become mostly guesswork. We have needed laws so that people would have a clear idea about acceptable behavior. A speed limit of 25 miles per hour by a school zone makes perfect sense. You wouldn't want people to zoom by the school at 60 miles per hour when children were just getting out of school. So we have many laws that meed to be obeyed for our own good.

However, when we are under the spell of the illusions, we don't always know what is good for us. Some people may get a perverted thrill out of zooming by a school at 60 miles per hour. Do you remember how it was, especially when you were a rebellious teen-ager? (or still are?). Or somebody else was or is? For some reason doing crazy, rebellious, or sinful things has a certain appeal when a person is lost in the illusion. They do it for notoriety, to impress someone, to impress themselves, or because they are angry about something. whatever their reasons, it can be traced back to some influence of the illusion. the perceived need for money is, of course, one of our major illusions, and since so many people agree on the need for money, we do a lot of crazy things for money."


Commentary: Some people want to rebel against authority for various reasons, but if people want to rebel, the best thing to rebel against is the illusion of duality. Duality is what keeps people lost, bewildered and in slavery to one thing or another. The only way out is to see the oneness of all life.

Most laws we have set up are useful for living within the illusion of duality, and one can live very well within duality by following moral and civil laws, but one can also rise above it all and live in the oneness of all life. Following all good and just laws with an attitude of love will then become easier.
