We are now on paragraph 6 of chapter 10 in the First Letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul." (page 88)

"I don't want to talk down to you.  You are as good as I am.  You know your situations better than I do.  When you realize that you are one with God you can see that God is the only doer.  When you identify with God, you want to do your best.  You move to transcend your ego-self, you begin to see that you are connected to all life.  You begin to see your larger Self everywhere. We don't reduce God to what we are; he raises us to what he/she is.  The God in us raises us up.  Jesus is the prime example for many people.  He was the man raised to Godhood.  You can do the same through the power of God within you.  Identify with God."

Commentary: One of the keys to rising above your ego is to realize that God is the only reality.

We are now on paragraph 5 of chapter 10 in the First Letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond your inner God-power to handle.  God knows what your current position is, but we don't always realize how far we can stretch.  Remember, we can call on the angels to help us bear crushing loads.  Every condition or situation is temporary, and death is a portal to a new situation.  God is always with you, for God is you, and God is eternal, so in the long run there is nothing to worry about.  Ah, I know, it's the short term worries that really get us."

Commentary: God is with everyone, but if you look at the history of the world, everyone has to die sooner or later, and everyone goes through difficult experiences, some much more so than others, so what comfort is it, one may ask, to say that God is with us? Because You are always alive in spirit and cannot be injured in your essence. These forms and experiences that we have in this material world are all passing shows of light and shadow. They may seem very real right now, but in a hundred years from now a new set of players will be on stage, and we will have moved on to other stages. When we gain our ascension into the realms of oneness, we will leave suffering and sorrow behind.

We are now on paragraph 2 of chapter 10 in the first Letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One, Letters of Aul." (page 87)

"Can we stop repeating history? We need to be on guard so that we don't get lost in the outer show of life:  And we must not turn our beliefs into a circus of outer miracles and brazen entertainment.  It's great to sing and dance in the joy of the Lord, but when it just becomes an outer show to entertain people, it doesn't benefit us in any deep way."

Commentary:  The inner connection to God is the most important. There are many good and fun outer activities in life, but they may not be fully satisfying if there is no inner connection with God and the deeper truths of life.

We are now on paragraph 6 of chapter 6 in the First Letter to the Orinthians, from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"There is a lot more to sex than sensual touch.  Sex is a spiritual mystery in the way that two may become one.  Since we want to have the blissful reunion with God, the union of man and woman is a a little taste of the ecstatic union with all of life--God.  That is why we want to have sex with commitment and mutual caring.  In acts of lustful, selfish, and abusive sex you can never really experience oneness with your partner.  In sexual sin we violate the sacredness of ourselves.  It doesn't pay to abuse yourself or others and squander the wonderful bodies that God has provided for you.  In fact God is in every cell of your body, so let people see God in and through your body."

Commentary: Maintaining sexual purity has always been a problem for humans.  We have biological needs and desires that are mixed in with all the other complications of human relationships. Even for people with high ideals of sexual purity, the temptations to fall from those ideals are strong.  However, for people who are sincere in their quest of experience in the oneness of all life and the bliss that comes with it, then sexual purity becomes a natural and sensible part of their Selfhood.

We are now on paragraph 3 in chapter 3 in the first letter to the Orinthians from the book "Gospel of One: Letters of Aul:"


To use another metaphor, you are God's house.  You have a blueprint, a vision of perfection.  You have a solid foundation in God.  That is your starting point.  Take particular care in choosing your building materials and build with loving care.  Eventually there is going to be an inspection.  If you used inferior materials, you'll be found out. The inspection will be thorough and rigorous.  You won't get by with the slightest mistake.  If your work passes inspection, rejoice!  However, if it doesn't, your errors will be pointed out to you, and you can then correct them.  If your building is really shoddy, it may be torn down and you will have to start over, so think it over.  It's your life we are talking about here."

Commentary: Some people think there is never going to be an inspection of their lives, and that they can get by with a lot of inferior thoughts and actions.  But at the end of our lives on earth, we get a life review wherein everything is seen and evaluated by one's higher Self and God.  We won't be moving on much higher, or maybe go lower, if we don't make the effort to create loving and compassionate lives.  We all make mistakes and fall short, but we have the chance to learn from every mistake. In our next incarnations, we will get a chance to transcend ourselves once more, or we can go for our ascension in this lifetime. Let's do that.

We are now on the last paragraph of chapter one in the first letter to the Orinthians in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"Take a good look, my friends, at who you were when you were born into this world.  You are from all walks of life, all races, all ethnic groups, all countries, all religions.  Some of you occupy so-called "high" positions.  Some of you occupy seemingly "low" positions.  It doesn't matter to God.  God knows your every thought.  God knows all of your past lifetimes and possible future lives also.  You have all played different roles.  Some of you who now have high positions may well have been in low positions, and vice versa.  So what is there to brag about?  But with every moment of now you have a chance for a clean slate and a fresh start.  You can be at your highest and best starting right now.  The power of God is within you.  If you are going to blow a horn for your ego-self, forget that and blow a trumpet for your God-self."

Commentary: We have all played many different roles, and probably in most of them the ego was in control, but it is our real God-self that matters.  We are on our way back to our true identities in God. Our past experiences have had moments of glory and moments of shame, but the experiences did not define us. We are a lot more than any one lifetime of experience.  Past experience is all valuable though, it forms the larger picture of who we are now as we press on to true freedom in God..

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone, namaste:

We are continuing with chapter 11, paragraph 6 in the Letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

" Once you realize the extraordinary kindness of God you will be astounded. And his wisdom is so wide and deep; it's way beyond our human understanding. Even the best philosophers and theologians don't even come close. No one can explain God. Our words are not adequate. Is there anyone intelligent enough to tell God how to run the universe? (Some people think they can suggest some improvements, though). Yet everything comes back to God, everything happens through God, and everything winds up in God. Glory to God forever. Praise to God forever. Yes, yes, yes!"

Commentary: What do I know? I'm just an ignorant fool. Or at least my ego is. But my conscious Self, my real Self, knows something about God, and that something is beyond words to explain. But we use many words to try to explain God. Love is at the top of the list.
