Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone; Namaste;

We are continuing with Chapter 7, paragraph 5 in the letter to the Omans from the book Gospel of One; Letters of Aul.

"Another question is one that I often ask of myself. "I want to do the right thing, I want to love everyone, but I can't seem to do it consistently. I fall way short sometimes, Why?" Oh my friends, I know how it is. We know the laws, but can't keep them. The powerful illusions sabotage our best intentions. We obviously need help. We can use our will-power, but it doesn't hold up under the strain. We can decide to do good, but we don't follow through. We can decide not to do something wrong, then we do it anyway. The illusion is so tricky sometimes. We think we need something that will only hurt us in the long run, such as the need to smoke a cigarette or something worse. The illusion gets the better of us so many times."

Commentary: This is the old story, very familiar to most people, especially to those of us who make new years resolutions. Old habits are hard to break If you can rise above the illusions though, you will have a better chance of succeeding in your resolutions.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone, namaste;

We are continuing with chapter 7, paragraph 4 in the letter to the Omans from the book Gospel of One; Letters of Aul.

"You might be asking, "Is the illusion all bad?" The answer is , "No." God created the physical universe, which is a reflection of the truth. The illusion is our field to play in. It is our stage for the drama of creation. Through us and every created thing God experiences life. Life cannot be experienced in unbroken oneness. The duality of life gives full scope to the infinite experiences of life. However, we do not need to be lost in this illusion. We can be in the world but not of it. We can play our roles in life in peace and harmony. It is the people who do not realize it is only a game who take life too seriously. There is no need to harm other people or creatures to live in this illusion of creation. We are here to manifest the love of God, the joy of God, and beauty of God."

Commentary: When we realize that we can look at this world as a stage, and that we are the actors creating our own roles, then we can see that we can change things. We can see that we have the power and ability to manifest the love of God. The illusions of life are only the props that give a backdrop to the story of infinite love.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

hullo everyone; namaste:

We are continuing with chapter 7, paragraphs 2 and 3 in the letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One, Letters of Aul."

"Most laws have perfectly legitimate functions. Without clear guidelines for right and wrong, moral behavior would become mostly guesswork. We have needed laws so that people would have a clear idea about acceptable behavior. A speed limit of 25 miles per hour by a school zone makes perfect sense. You wouldn't want people to zoom by the school at 60 miles per hour when children were just getting out of school. So we have many laws that meed to be obeyed for our own good.

However, when we are under the spell of the illusions, we don't always know what is good for us. Some people may get a perverted thrill out of zooming by a school at 60 miles per hour. Do you remember how it was, especially when you were a rebellious teen-ager? (or still are?). Or somebody else was or is? For some reason doing crazy, rebellious, or sinful things has a certain appeal when a person is lost in the illusion. They do it for notoriety, to impress someone, to impress themselves, or because they are angry about something. whatever their reasons, it can be traced back to some influence of the illusion. the perceived need for money is, of course, one of our major illusions, and since so many people agree on the need for money, we do a lot of crazy things for money."

Commentary: Some people want to rebel against authority for various reasons, but if people want to rebel, the best thing to rebel against is the illusion of duality. Duality is what keeps people lost, bewildered and in slavery to one thing or another. The only way out is to see the oneness of all life.

Most laws we have set up are useful for living within the illusion of duality, and one can live very well within duality by following moral and civil laws, but one can also rise above it all and live in the oneness of all life. Following all good and just laws with an attitude of love will then become easier.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hi Everyone, namaste:

We are moving on to chapter 7, paragraph 1 in the Letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"I'm sure you understand all this my friends, because you know all about the illusions--how they work and how they hold sway over the unenlightened. For example, you know how people can get caught up in thinking they are better than other people, or that some people may be failures, or that death exists, or that God needs anything, and so on. We have make up countless rules and regulations in order to live within the illusions. But many people did not understand the purpose of the laws. "Laws are meant to be broken," as some would say. Laws were something to rebel against. They restricted our freedoms. If we could get away with something, then we did. The "criminals" were the ones who got caught. And there is so much fine print in the law just about everyone is a law breaker. Just look at the speed limit for cars, for example. How may of us of driving age have broken the law in regards to speed limits?"

Commentary: Because so many people don't recognize the oneness of all life, we have made up countless laws to fit every situation. The golden rule is the guiding law of oneness. Treat everybody as if they are part of your greater Self. If people followed the golden rule there would be no need for all the other laws.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hullo everyone, namaste:

We are continuing with chapter 6, paragraph 6 in the letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"But mercy abounds! Now that we have discovered that we don't have to be lost in the illusions, and we have also discovered the delight in listening to God and angels giving us advice, we can truly stay in our freedom. We are healed and are whole again with limitless possibilities all around us. We worked hard for the illusions and all we got was disappointments in the end. But now, in the real life of God, we don't even think about retirement. We have life and more life in God.

Commentary: Nowadays you can work all of your life for the illusions, and you may not even get a gold watch. You may even lose your pension fund. However, for someone who is working in the oneness of God, there is no thought of retirement. We are always transcending ourselves. Always moving in the upward spiral of God. And we are always working with support from angels. We always have hopeful possibilities and potentials for greater awareness and satisfying activities for Self-expressions, that is, expressions of God in manifestation.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Helloo everyone, namaste:

We are continuing with chapter 6, paragraph 5 in the Letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul:"

"Everybody can understand concepts about freedom. It is a vital subject. We can recall how in the past we did things just because we felt like doing them, but not caring about God, not caring about others, and how our lives eventually suffered with such a careless attitude. That's why so many rules and laws have been imposed upon us. We did not know how to handle our freedom, so our freedom was taken away from us. As long as we did what we just felt like doing, we didn't bother with right living and right thinking, or right anything for that matter. But do you call that a free life? What did we get out of it except trouble and sorrow? There was nothing to be proud of. We always came to sad or bitter endings."

Commentary: With freedom comes the highest responsibility for yourself. God gave us freewill, and with every choice we have consequences that lead us to our next choices. If our choices are guided by love, our consequences will be better than if guided by lesser motives. That seems easy to realize, but the history of our various cultures and countries shows many abysmal failures in the use of free-will.

God does not take away our free will, but certain governments and dictators take away freedoms because they think the people will not make good decisions. The better decisions we make, the better our govenments will be.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone, namaste;

We are continuing with chapter 6, paragraph 4 in the letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"Now that we have broken the spell of the illusions and realize our freedom in God, does that mean we are free to do anything we want to? Since we are free in the freedom of God, can we do anything that comes to mind? I don't think so. We know well enough from past experience that freedom doesn't mean following every whim or spur of the moment impulse that will get us into trouble later. We may be free to eat or drink or do certain things, but they may become a habit that causes suffering in the long run. But if we follow the wisdom of the master teachers such as Jesus, Buddha, Krishna and others who instruct us in the best ways to live, then the freedom never dies. In our past lives we have let the illusions tell us what to do. But thank God we are now listening to the master teachers and to our own inner God-self. Now we are set free to live openly in the true freedom of God."

Commentary: Freedom without wisdom will only lead to some kind of slavery or bondage. Wisdom is gained by personal experience and by learning wisdom from experienced people. It is wise to get wisdom. Some people say we should seek wisdom as urgently as if we were underwater and desperately needed to get up to the air. Knowing that we are one with God, that we are part of God, and that God is the only reality is the beginning of wisdom.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone; Namaste:

We are continuing with chapter 6, paragraph 3 in the Letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"So let's not let the illusions run our lives anymore. Don't give them the time of day, after all, what is time? Don't even run little errands that are connected with the old way of being a dupe for the illusions. Let's throw ourselves wholeheartedly and full time into God's way of living life. We are no longer under the tyranny of the illusion. We are living in the freedom of God. Life is what we make it to be, so let us make it in the most wonderful way we can imagine."

Commentary: When we accept our roles as co-creators with God, then we will see that we have the freedom to create something beautiful. When we really throw ourselves wholeheartedly into the oneness of God, into the arms of God, we will be free of the illusions.

What are the illusions? Let's review some of them: The illusion of separation from God, the illusion of lack, the illusion of conditional love by God, the illusion of judgment by God, the illusion of condemnation by God, the illusion of everlasting punishment, the illusion of superiority and inferiority, and the illusion that this material world is the only reality.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone, Namaste:

We are continuing with chapter 6, paragraph 2 in the letter to the Omans, from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"That's what it means to be resurrected into the one life of God. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world where we can now see where we are going. We are no longer lost in the blind alleys of the illusion. Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life of insufficiency, judgment, conditions, requirements, endless needs, inequalities of beingness, and just plain ignorance has just melted away. We are no longer at the illusion's beck and call. What we believe is this: We are all part of God. Everyone is an equal part because God is us. We have all the qualities of God. If God is unconditional love, so are we. If God is wealthy, so are we. If God is endlessly creative, so are we. If God is beautiful, so are we. If God is wise, so are we. God is the best and the brightest in everything. We claim our oneness with God. We have been raised from the illusions of death, the illusions poverty, of sickness, of condemnation, and all of other illusions of life. The illusions have served their purpose, and they will continue to serve their purposes, but we are no longer bewildered by them. We are now alive in God. God speaks our eternal and true language of the soul."

Commentary: The illusions are strong, and that is why so many people are still bewildered by them. If you can identify the illusions, then you can see what they are doing to you. The only way to go is up. Identify your true self as an eternal part of God.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hi Everyone, Namaste:

We are moving on to chapter six, paragraph one of the letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"What happens next? Do we keep on falling back into the illusions of life just so God can drag us out again? I should hope not. Once we have figured out the illusions, why should we keep building our dreams around them? Our motivations for doing things will change. As we realize our oneness in God we will include more people in our thoughts of success. We are entering a new life in new territory."

Commentary: There is a real danger of falling back into the illusions if one does not keep moving forward. The mass consciousness of humanity is like pea-soup and we will become part of it if we are not consciously aware of what we are doing. And there are many dreams of worldly success within the illusions that we could be engrossed in. However, when we realize our oneness with all life we can rise above the consciousness of duality and whole new dreams of success for all life come to us.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hi Everyone; namaste:

I haven't posted since May because I broke my right arm in early June, so I could not type very well at all, and I was super busy with work.

My arm is healed now and my workload has lightened up some, so I will continue where I left off.

We are in chapter five, paragraph 6 in the letter to the Omans, from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"But all those fears and worries born of ignorance are gone now as the light of the oneness of God has streamed into our lives. We know that life is eternal, and that we are eternal. We do not die and never have. Can you imagine the breathtaking recovery that people make once they understand this. They leap to their feet again. They take control of their lives again. They throw the old superstitions out the window. They realize they are God-free sovereign individuals, and that no one can take their freedoms away. They realize they are not victims anymore, and that they can choose the life they want to live. They can co-create a life with God. My friends, it doesn't get any better than that, except it does. It just keeps on getting better all the time. Amen. This the grace of God. This is the glory of God. Amen brother. Amen sister."

Commentary: This is a realization to anchor your life upon: We are sovereign individuals who are free in the oneness of Life. We can co-create our lives with all of Life and the source of all Life. There will always be challenges and opportunities to grow and transcend yourself everyday, and we are free to decide what our attitude is. The joy of God is ever-new, and that inspires us to c0-create in beneficial and beautiful ways.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hi Everyone, Namaste:

We are continuing with Chapter five, paragraph five in the letter to the Omans from the book "Gospel of One, Letters of Aul."

"I'm sure you know the old myth about how Adam and Eve supposedly got us into this dilemma by disobeying God, and then sin and death became the lot of everyone who came after them. Well, that story needs to be updated in the light of our oneness with God. God created the physical universe in order to experience himself in a world of contrasts and diversity. He created an infinite number of identities in order to experience all of life, in all dimensions, in all time and space. We are part of God, but we have been lost in this powerful illusion of the physical universe where thoughts have been solidified into objects such as stars and planets and everything on them. We are in a world of constant change. Our bodies change everyday and eventually disintegrate, but our Spirit-souls go on forever. In our ignorance we do things that harm ourselves and others, and we call these harmful actions sinful. We don't know how to behave, and we suffer the consequences. In our ignorance we thought death might be the end of us, though we hoped that the paradise of heaven would be waiting for us if we lived good lives and believed the right way according to our religions."

Commentary: This paragraph sums up the God/humans situation on earth. We seem to be lost, yet God is still aware of every condition, and is experiencing every condition.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hullo Everyone, Namaste:

We are continuing with Chapter five, paragraph four of the letter to the Omans, from the book, "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul:"

"Now that we understand that we are set right with God, and that we are part of God, there is no question about being at odds with God in any way. Even when we were at our worst, She was always helping us to get back to our real selves. Now that we are at our best, just think of how our lives can expand and improve. We have no limitations. We are free in God. Now that we have this amazing friendship with God, let's celebrate. Let's turn up the volume. Let us write new songs about this wondrous love. Let us dance as if everyone is watching and encouraging us to do our best."

Commentary: The old saying is "Dance as if nobody is watching" so you won't be inhibited. But in a universe of love and oneness, everyone would encourage you and cheer you on as if you are the home team, which you are. Within a real circle of oneness, people would encourage one another. They would encourage you to move beyond any self-imposed limitations.

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone, Namaste:

We are continuing with Chapter five, paragraph three in the letter to the Omans from the book, "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"I'm talking about the love of God here. Love doesn't wait for us to be perfect. Love comes to us when we are weak or rebellious. We can't understand how God can pour his love to us when we have such low opinions of ourselves. We can't understand how someone such as Jesus Christ can live such an unselfish life and let himself be humiliated and crucified when he had the power to get away from it all. He lived his life as a public example of God's love. so did Buddha and other great saints. They poured out the love of God, yet we don't think we are worthy or capable of emulating their examples."

Commentary: We often think that we need to deserve any love given to us, and I think that we want to feel that we deserve love. However, God loves us no matter what our attitude is, so it is up to us to accept it or not, and if we accept it, to pass it along.

gospel of one; letters of aul

Hello Everyone; Namaste;

We are continuing with Chapter 5, paragraph 2 in the letter to the Omans from the book, "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul:"

It doesn't mean our troubles are over though. As long as we live in a world of duality there will always be opposing forces. As we work our way past obstacles we develop patience and other noble virtues. With the every day challenges and responsibilities we learn to live in the now moment, constantly alert for God's presence. And as God pours out his blessing we enlarge our containers to hold them all.

Commentary: Even when we think we have just about everything figured out, there is still the need to put it into practical application. We are putting our belief in oneness to work in a world of dualities. It isn't easy. That is why we are always alert to the presence of God in all situations and conditions, and in doing so we can see how he blesses every situation. What does it mean for God to bless a situation? It means the potential for the highest expression of love is there, ready to manifest. Sometimes it does, doesn't it?

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone, Namaste:

We are continuing with Chapter 5, paragraph 1 in the letter to the Omans, from the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"As we evolve into our highest and best selves, it takes faith to get through the tough times. Faith opens the doors to God, and then we see that God has always left his door open for us. And when we go through that door we discover the wide open possibilities of our pure potential. we can't help but to break out in song and dance and glorious music."

Commentary: God has an open door policy, but we have to go through the door of our own making. If we have no faith, our door will be closed, and we won't be able to see that God's door is open. However, if we open up our own doors that have closed us in, we see that our potential in God is unlimited. Though we can't see how our potential will develop, faith will carry us through. If you think about your potential in God, it is so thrilling that you want to celebrate.

gospel of oneness

Hi Everyone; Namaste:

We are continuing with chapter four, paragraphs four and five in the letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"We trust that God is love, and we embrace his will. God's love is always present, no doubt about it. We just accept it. That's the way everyone can get in on it, no matter what religion, if any, a person follows, for God is the God of all.

In the past we relied on the great teachers and founders of our religions, such as Abraham, Moses, Mohammed, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Confucius, Guru Nanak, and others because they seemed to have a special relationship with God. And so they did. They were bold and moved forward in the will of God. They concentrated on the positive side of life. They are father figures to millions of people. They went through many tests and trials. It wasn't easy for them, as you well know. Now is the time for us to grow up and realize that we are also one with God. We are now the fathers and mothers of faith. Everyone is equal in the eyes of God. Please don't think that your faith fathers and mothers are so far above you that you can never reach their heights. Your don't have to be exactly like them. Each one of us is unique. Each one of us will manifest the glory of God in our own ways. Trust that you are a real part of God."

Commentary: A genuine teacher wants you to learn everything he has to teach, and to encourage you to go deeper and come up with your own insights and thus build upon what he has taught. He wants you to exceed him. The great teachers of the past did not want to be set up as idols to be worshipped. They wanted us to realize that we are all part of God, and that we each have unique ways to contribute to the common good.

We can honor those who have made great attainments, but we honor them best by learning from them and then going further along the path of God-realization.

Oneness quote: "I and my Father are one, and ye are my brethren" --Jesus

gospel of one; letters of aul

Hello everyone, namaste:

We are continuing with chapter 4, paragraphs 2 and 3 in the letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"Do you still think that God favors one religion over another? Or do you think that God's blessings flow to everyone regardless of what religion they may belong to, if any? We all agree, don't we, that God loves everyone, and that we are all fortunate in the long run?

Here's a question for you. Does God love us before or after we come into a right relationship with him or her? That's right, God loves everyone, even before we enter into a religious group, or profess any belief in him or her. We do not have to sign a legalistic contract, or fast for days, or scourge ourselves, or pray on our knees day and night for God to love and accept us. God loves us from the beginning. It is a free gift. It isn't any kind of business deal. It is unbreakable. There is no fine print to trick you as in a contract drawn up by some shady lawyer. Please forgive me you honest lawyers reading this."

Commentary: Do you think God will say to some people, "Sure I love you, but since you didn't believe in me in the right way, I'm going to cast you into hell. You didn't believe that the Koran was my word, or you didn't believe that Jesus was my only son and you needed to accept his sacrifice for you?" If God's love is unconditional, then that means no conditions. One thing we can always count on is the love of God. We co-create our own hellish or heavenly conditions

gospel of one; letters of aul

Hello Everyone; Namaste;

We are starting chapter four, paragraph one in the letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"When we think of the great ones who established the religions--Abraham, Jesus, Lao-Tzu, Confucius, Buddha, how do we fit them into the oneness of God? Did they establish "my way only" paths to God? No, they didn't, but many of their followers did. The great ones came to teach according to what the people of certain cultures and times were ready to hear, and enough people responded to make their teachings into a religion."

Commentary: The great religious teachers of the past are working together in the ascended state of being. They are all part of the spiritual organization that oversees the development of life on earth. They respect the free will choices of everyone, and so do not try to impose their wills on the people who are in physical embodiment. While they were on earth, they had specific roles to play in bringing forth teachings to various parts of the world. Krishna and Buddha taught what people in India were ready to hear, though Buddha's teachings were carried to other Asian countries. Confucius and Lao Tse brought teaching for China. Jesus and Mohammed brought teachings to the Middle East. The universal parts of their messages strike a chord in people everywhere.

It is some of the followers of these great teachers who have tried to say that their ways are best for everyone. This is one of the main causes of religious conflict--thinking that one path is the best for everyone. If the followers realized that their leaders were all working together, there would be more peace in the world.

Gospel of One; letters of Aul

Greetings everyone; Namaste:

We are continuing with Chapter three, paragraphs eight and nine in the letter to the Omans in the book, "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

God is the God of all, not just Christians, or Muslims, or Hindus, or whatever religion people follow. How could it be otherwise since there is only one God? God accepts and loves everyone no matter what religious system they follow.

But does that mean that any path to God is as good as any other? Not necessarily. Some paths are faster than others. Some have more detailed roadmaps. Some take the airplane routes. Some take the ox-cart method. Some seem to actually go in the opposite direction. Some people may want to go to San Diego, California, but they may zig-zag all over the place before they finally get there. Others may take a direct flight in. We all go at our own pace, but naturally we want to travel with others, and we try to convince others to go along with us.

Commentary: Some people know where they are going and take a direct route. Other people may have an idea of where they want to go, but don't know how to get there. And some people have no particular destination in mind. God has sent some people to talk about the destination and how to get there, but there are a lot of false travel agents and guides who will take you off course. And there are many fellow travelers who think they know the way and want to show you. Take your pick. It's up to you to decide. Who has the best map and instructions according to your personal profile?

Gospel of One; Letters of Aul

Hello Everyone; Namaste:

We are continuing with Chapter 3, paragraph 7 in the letter to the Omans in the book "Gospel of One; Letters of Aul."

"As for any group claiming to be special or "chosen," well, that is just plain false. We choose to be chosen. What we've learned is this: God does not respond to any one particular point of view. Our vision of life is too small to define God. No religion has the complete truth about God. We finally realized that we ought to be humble about our beliefs and to admit that we don't have all the answers. Your truth might be good for you, but not necessarily satisfy someone else. My way is not a better way, it just another way that I happen to like."

Commentary: If we are all equal in the sight of God, how can anyone or any group claim to be special or chosen? It is our own actions that make the difference. If we work to spread the good news of the oneness of all life, or if we do a lot of charitable work, or if we carry out special missions in life, we may seem to be "chosen." If we have special abilities and talents, we may seem to be favored by God, but God loves everyone unconditionally. People who think they are "chosen" above others by God, and thus are better than others will no doubt be served some humble pie sooner or later. Anyone who thinks he or she is superior to others because of his or her religious beliefs, will also be served humble pie, served up by life itself, by the laws of God which keep everything in balance.

News Note: The US presidential primaries are happening now. Which candidate do you think is closest to understanding the Oneness of all life? Ron Paul? Mike Huckabee? Barack Obama? Hilary Clinton? Dennis Kucinich?
